About Us
Balance on the Bay was born out of our shared passion for yoga. We met on our mats and have returned to them together ever since. Beyond a love for yoga itself, we also share similar beliefs that life is meant to be enjoyable, laughter is allowed in a studio and everyone needs a good stretch sometimes ;)

Vanessa Murphy
Sama Yoga
200 Hr RYT
Vanessa began practicing yoga over 15 years ago and since that time has taught over 700 hours of group and private classes. In that time she's expanded her knowledge in Ayurveda, vedanta, mantra and pre/post natal practice.
She's taught a wide range of classes and believes that yoga is for everyone and a studio should be inviting. She loves when students ask questions and when she can work one on one with practitioners.

Vanessa completed her YTT in Indonesia, under Sky Akasha, in 2004, in the style of Sama Yoga. Sama is Sanskrit for balance and the concept of balance is weaved into each class.

Pat Fell
Vinyasa
500 Hr RYT
An avid yoga enthusiast, Pat’s passion for learning more led her to embark on her first yoga teacher training in 2018 with Bliss Ann Green Yoga. She started teaching shortly thereafter and quickly fell in love with the joy that sharing the practice with others brings.
In 2019, Pat completed her advanced teacher training and continues to this day to expand her knowledge with the goal of bringing more varied styles and ideas to her classes – and her own practice.
Pat’s favourite part of teaching is helping others discover how to customize their own practices to suit their own unique needs and goals.
